Urban Tandoor - Whiteladies Road

A complete revamp of a well-established Indian restaurant
Our client gave us full design creation of what is now Bristol's best curry house for this full refit.

We were tasked with coming up with a real modern interior, with flares of the colourful culture known in India . We started with our wall paneling foundation using black valchromat this time. This you will see throughout the restaurant and is installed with LOOXs LED lighting to highlight the details in the paneling. This is adjustable in brightness from a in-house-used app. The bar then was the flare that was needed to elevate the interior. The design flows in waves from left to right using carefully CNC cut valchromat boards. We used orange and black for this facade. The entire slate formation is installed onto opal perplex and back lit using LEDs programmed.

We were trusted with the opportunity to completely revamp a well-established Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Clifton, Bristol. While the restaurant had always been celebrated for its exceptional cuisine and service, its interior atmosphere fell short of creating a truly captivating dining experience. Our mission was to create a design concept that paid homage to the colourful culture known in India, while maintaining a contemporary and refined ambience suitable for dining.

The foundation of the interior was laid with sleek black vlachromat panelling, spanning the lower sections of the restaurant's walls. This panelling was expertly integrated with LED lighting, controllable through a versatile CASAMBI app, allowing for seamless atmosphere adjustment throughout the evening. The interplay of light and shadow transformed the space, evoking different moods at various stages of the dining experience.

One of the highlights of the design was creating a stand-out bar. Crafted with a bold and artistic vision, the bar featured a stunning combination of orange and black valchromat paneling. Designed using advanced CAD software, the bar seamlessly flowed from left to right in a wave-like pattern, reminiscent of the gentle undulations of the sea. The bar slats were carefully set against opal perspex, providing a backdrop that exuded a soft, mesmerizing glow as it transitioned from dimmer to brighter shades. This dynamic lighting effect brought a sense of movement and life to both the bar and the overall interior.

In bringing this vision to reality, Daytona Design collaborated closely with a team of skilled professionals, including electricians, painters, and plumbers. Their professionalism and expertise played an instrumental role in the successful execution of the project. Their dedication and craftsmanship seamlessly integrated the design elements.

With a colour palette dominated by blacks and oranges, the revamped restaurant emanates elegance and sophistication, immersing diners in a sensory experience that transcends expectations.
